Garden Markers

There are so many neat ways to mark your garden plants.
This year, though, I was looking for a simple and easy way to mark my rows quickly.
I saw this idea on Homestead Revival and knew I had my solution!
Clothes pins, a permanent marker or ball point pen, and thin dowels or thin branches from a tree are all you will need.

They look so sweet AND they don't blow away in the wind!
I think I will add them to my herb garden.
You could use them in all kinds of places in the garden: whether row planting, square foot gardening, or group plantings.
Simple and sweet:).

Coming up, I will be showing you how I plant my pumpkins...there is hardly ANY weeding involved!!

Have a great day!

Julia - what a simple and classy looking solution to garden labels!! I'll be looking for your no-weed pumpkin planting, too - last year, I prepared a whole big area, laid down newspaper and gorilla hair, had my pumpkins growing nicely, and then poof - the plants just spontaneously died. We had some nasty squash beetles last year that destroyed all the squash plants instantaneously. maybe the chickens will help this year??

Such a cute idea (unless your children take any off and switch them all around...I can see my silly kiddos doing this to be funny! ;)
Thanks so much for sharing it!

Warmly,

Julia I love this (I've done something like that but using broken terracotta pots and a permenent marker) and I love even more the idea of planting your pumpkins without weeding all the times...can't wait!

Cute markers! I have to admit, I planted my green beans without any row markers at all, and now I'm wondering exactly where the rows are! It is a very small garden, so I'll just have to wait until they pop up to do much weeding over there.

I'm all over some cute garden markers.

Seems like I saw using old utensils on someones blog?

So, when I was at the goodwill last time, I almost got some. But didn't and so we used some old stakes. But it sure is nicer, when it's some cute;-)
